A Virtual Knitting Adventure

Join me for a virtual getaway - from the comfort of home. I'll take you with me to the famed artist colony of Taos, Mexico. We'll explore the rich cultural history, the textiles, the food - and the knitting! Along the way we'll knit the beautiful Taos Valley Poncho, which features both the intriguing tuck stitch and the delightfully versatile duplicate stitch! This workshop includes in-depth tutorials to help you master these techniques (and more) as you knit this wearable piece of art to remember your journey. This virtual workshop includes videos and printables to support you every step of the way.

  • You'll receive the pattern for the Taos Valley Poncho - an instantly flattering style for every figure knit in sport-weight wool

  • Lessons include videos and printables, that you can access from home (on your favorite device)

  • Yarn advice, swatching, color selection, seaming, blocking and more!

  • Support in adjusting your poncho for petite and tall bodies

  • Lessons on the history, art and culture of Taos and surrounding areas

  • Explore Taos with me, learn to make tamales (regular and vegan!), white pine coffee/tea and more!

  • Come along for a virtual tour of Taos Pueblo - the only living Native American community that is both a UNESCO World Heritage site and a National Historic Landmark

  • This workshop invites you to find the flow and peace of being a maker - to carve out the space and time to practice your art, and to look for inspiration in the world around you.
